Ida Khodami
CEO360 Partner - Cohort Leader
An electrical engineer by training, entrepreneur by instinct, and investor by experience, I bring more than 20 years of leadership across engineering, operations, strategy, and venture investing in the genomics, biotech, MedTech, and broader technology sectors.
I began my career by founding a Canadian medical device startup, where I developed an infrared-based venipuncture locator, validated clinical needs with hospital partners, and secured a U.S. patent.
I then spent 12 years at Illumina, growing from engineering leadership into enterprise-scale operating roles spanning product development, regulatory strategy, global operations, and commercial execution.
Among my most notable achievements was building and leading the validation consortium that secured FDA approval for MiSeqDx, the first-ever FDA-cleared next-generation sequencing platform, as well as helping drive Illumina’s expansion in direct-to-consumer genomics through strategic partnerships and global operational scale.
In 2020, I transitioned into venture capital at Two Bear Capital, where I helped raise and deploy a $250M fund across seed and Series A companies at the intersection of healthcare, therapeutics, AI, cloud, and operational intelligence. I led investments, served on boards and advisory roles, and worked closely with founders on growth strategy, go-to-market execution, partnerships, and scaling operational foundations.
Today, I advise startup CEOs who are building ambitious, high-impact companies, bringing a rare combination of founder empathy, operator discipline, regulatory and product depth, and investor perspective. I am passionate about helping the next generation of leaders turn bold ideas into enduring businesses that create meaningful value.
